Meet Sheri Jensen
A Designer Rooted in Experience, Heart, and the Northwoods
Sheri’s love for design began early — long before she held a degree or drafted her first set of plans. Growing up in lower Michigan, she was the child who was always sketching, building, and imagining spaces. That natural pull eventually led her to earn a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Design with a Minor in Art from Western Michigan University, a program that blended creativity with engineering, problem-solving, and technical precision.
In 1991, she moved to the Wisconsin Northwoods and began her career at Architecture North in Arbor Vitae. There, she spent years drafting commercial buildings, industrial facilities, and high-end residential homes — including full log home designs — all while learning under the guidance of two respected architects, Glenn Morrison and Ed Carlson. Their mentorship shaped her eye for detail, her drafting proficiency, and her deep respect for designing homes that are both beautiful and buildable.
Sheri eventually found her true calling: residential design that feels personal, meaningful, and rooted in the land it belongs to. In 2003, she started her own business to pursue that passion more fully while creating a work life that allowed her to be present for her daughter. What followed was a career built not just on skill, but on relationships, trust, and a genuine commitment to helping people bring their visions to life.
A Life of Designing, Creating, and Staying Connected
Outside of her professional work, Sheri has always been committed to service, creativity, and community. She has volunteered across various organizations over the years and often contributed her design skills to support projects that mattered to her. When her daughter was growing up, Sheri was the kind of mom who showed up — coaching soccer, helping in classrooms, and cheering through countless dance recitals.
Sheri and her husband, Jack, have built a life in the Northwoods that reflects the same values she brings into her work: warmth, connection, and appreciation for place. She’s endlessly curious and inspired — drawn to old movies, historical sites, national parks, nature, and gardening. She has always been fascinated by architecture, art, and the quiet stories embedded in the spaces we live in.
Those passions, paired with decades of experience, guide every project she takes on. They’re the reason her designs feel grounded, thoughtful, and uniquely connected to the people who will call them home.
Relationships at the Heart of Her Work
Sheri believes that great design is built on great relationships — with clients, contractors, and suppliers alike. Her success has never been about competition; it has always been about connection. Contractors trust her because her plans are accurate, clear, and thoughtfully detailed. Homeowners trust her because she listens deeply, communicates clearly, and brings both creativity and practicality to every project.
Clients often say she brings a calm, grounding energy to the design process — transforming what could feel overwhelming into something collaborative and exciting.
Your Vision Matters —
Let’s Bring It
to Life
Sheri often jokes that she loves this work so much she’d do it for free — though, of course, bills still exist. But that sentiment speaks to the core of who she is: someone who genuinely loves helping people create homes that feel like theirs.
What begins as a sketch or idea becomes, through collaboration and care, a home with meaning — a place where families gather, make memories, and put down roots.
If you’re ready to begin imagining what’s possible, Sheri would be honored to help.
